Neuro Biomechanics Lab training program
We provide personal training for biomechanics, sessions of soft neuro manual techniques and kinesiology assessments
Restore your body’s natural movement patterns, reduce pain, and enhance performance. Our program is designed for everyone, from individuals recovering from injury to those with postural problems, to athletes seeking peak performance.
Initial assessment
We will start by determining your current situation:
- Analyzing your standing posture
- Reviewing your walking and/or running in slow motion videos
- Locating areas of pain and discomfort
Then we will draw a conclusion about your current situation and discuss how we can make improvements and help you reach your goals.
Soft neuro manual technique
This technique is very effective for those who have symptoms of chronic pain, discomfort or restriction, and allows the subsequent corrective exercises to stick better. It allows us to locate muscles that are not functioning properly in your body and determine what is causing the dysfunction. Then reset the pattern which usually leads to instant relief of pain and discomfort, better mobility and coordination.
Myofascial release
Myofascial release is an effective tool that enables release of tension in restricted areas of the body, thereby restoring range of motion and freedom of movement. It involves applying sustained pressure on a restricted point to release the tension in the area.
Corrective exercises
Everyone is dealing with imbalances to some degree. Some are born with them, and some develop them naturally throughout life. However, if left unattended, imbalances progressively get worse over the years and can cause a cascade of issues. Corrective exercises are what is going to make the changes in your structure and posture permanent and keep away the imbalances that cause pain and discomfort. Corrective exercise allows us to create functional movement patterns and strengthen weak links so your body can move in the way it was designed to.
Dynamic power exercises
With dynamic exercise, we emphasize fast, explosive, and ballistic movements. As your body begins to move more efficiently, it becomes important to progressively incorporate these kinds of exercises. This way you will build strength, power and elasticity that will keep your body healthy and strong for years to come.
Duration and Frequency
Each class is around 1 hour in length. It takes frequent and consistent training to achieve meaningful results. We recommend a bare minimum of 2-3 sessions per week sustained for at least 3 months. If your goal is to learn how to train by yourself, it is still recommended that you stay with us for 3-6 months to achieve proper changes in your body and learn foundations of movement. These recommendations are not exclusive and can vary depending on the specific case of the client.
Education
Conscious effort is necessary to learn how to move better. Our exercises require attention, and we will help you develop it. Without awareness of details, it will be hard to make meaningful changes. Instead of thinking about our approach as a traditional fitness program, we recommend that you look at it as practicing skills that build a strong and healthy body. We prioritize quality over quantity of movement.
