What is Neuro-biomechanics lab?
Neuro-Biomechanics lab is the name of our project. The term neuro represents the technique we use to deal with dysfunctional receptors in the body. These dysfunctional receptors send dysfunctional signals to the brain, which lead to dysfunctional muscle activity and by extension dysfunctional posture and movement. To reset these dysfunctional receptors, we use a soft neuro manual technique (inspired by P-DTR and NKT). Biomechanics is a field that deals with structure, function and motion of the body. Our aim is to improve your biomechanics (in other words the way you move) using an approach that is based on the Human Foundations level of Functional Patterns.
Why choose us?
While people can train, build muscles and even improve performance in certain contexts with dysfunctional bodies, especially when they are young, the amount of improvement they can get will be greatly impeded by their imbalances. Furthermore, if your training is not resolving imbalances, that means it is contributing to them. The more imbalances develop, the harder it becomes to fix them, your movement options become more limited, and the chances of developing chronic pain increase. Instead of reaching your biological potential you get impeded by dysfunctions and your life quality slowly starts to deteriorate.
That’s why we focus on proper function as a priority, while the muscle and performance benefits come as a natural byproduct of biomechanical improvement. Building proper body functionality does not just build muscle and improve performance, but allows for optimal results, longevity, and improved quality of life.
Who is this for?
Our services are for everyone regardless of age or fitness level, especially those:
- Who are dealing with chronic pain and discomfort.
- People who want to correct their posture.
- Athletes who want to improve their performance and reduce injury risk.
- Anyone looking for a healthy and effective way to enhance their fitness.
Everybody has dysfunctions to a greater or lesser degree. It can be due to hereditary reasons, lifestyle habits, past injury, emotional trauma, or some other reason. Physical training can accelerate and increase the development of those dysfunctions, or it can slow them down and reduce them. That is why it is important how and what you train.
Where science meets movement to elevate your body and performance.
